Not even two weeks in, and we already made it!! I'm so excited! Of course, I can't thank you all enough for supporting this project. I mentioned this over on my instagram, but with the recent covid virus situation, artists all over are experiencing a lot of fear in regards to how we will generate our income with so many of our live events being canceled, which can be some of our biggest income generating events of the year. By supporting me here, you are helping me basically survive this situation, and I'm really grateful.
I can now peacefully work on 1989nk chapter two while I do my duty of social isolation. haha. I realize it's pretty stressful for everyone right now, so the fact that so many people are still willing to support their favorite artists online during this time is really amazing and so important.
I hope that this story and my characters can provide you with a bit of positivity and some smiles in this current situation. That would make me feel a lot less anxious myself, haha;;
Now, all my sappiness aside, I'd also like to remind everyone that there are indeed stretch goals, and these are goals I'm really eager to reach, because I can't tell you how excited I am to make these;
Turn the pillow style plushies into fully detailed 3D plushies! I have a manufacturer ready for such a thing, but the price for the sample prototypes they've quoted me is quite high seeing how detailed they are. They have been kind and willing to work with me and have given me a very reasonable deal to help me with this campaign, so I've decided to turn this into a stretch goal incentive! What I mean by full detail: fully 3D patterned and sewn anime plushes with semi-removable clothes and fully embroidered faces, made with a soft fuzzy plush material.
$13500 - Hide and Hiroki plushies will be converted to 3D
$14500 - Retsuko plushie will also be converted
$15500 - Jirou converted
$16500 - Panpan converted!
(if this goal is reached, ALL rewards will come with the free sticker, not just early birds)
I want to make these so badly!! They would be so cute....
Anyway, thanks again everyone. This will likely be my last update until the end of the campaign in about 18 days now, unless something really big comes up (meeting the stretch goals for example).
